Career clusters provide a way to organize broad occupational categories that include virtually all job types from entry through professional levels. You will find that many of the following categories or "clusters" have similar functions within each major industry sector. Clusters are useful to you in your job search in that they allow you to recognise job function areas that you may be interested in, or have related expertise. By considering these clusters it may open the number of available job opportunities for you that you might not otherwise have considered.

How do I research various employment clusters and industries?
Before you launch your job search, you’ll need to find out as much as you can about health care and related industries. Once you’ve identified an industry that interests you, here are some of the things you questions you could answer through research:
• What is the history of this type of industry?
• What is its main geographic area in Ontario?
• Has the demand for the product or service changed over time?
• What is the industry’s employment outlook?
• How is the industry related to others?
