Sector-specific Employment Preparation Program
The program provides information that helps IMDs become aware of their
options for alternative employment in the health care sector. In this way they are better
able to make timely decisions about career direction and to create realistic action plans
for employment goals.
Counseling Services
Counsellors provide one-on-one counseling to International medical Doctors to assist them in refining their portfolio and in developing their individual
career action plans.
Employer Outreach
The project partners have contacted health sector employers in Ottawa, Toronto and Hamilton and are working with them to find employment exposure opportunities in the workplace. Working together, the project partners and employers are exploring possibilities for full- and part-time positions, co-op placements, volunteering and mentoring.
